Worship is offered to God by the church as a loving response to his revelation of Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The work of the church is praise, adoration and acts of service offered to God and others as Jesus taught.  One can live in a Christian way apart from church, but the offering of worship with others is essential to a lively faith. Worship is an act of self-giving and this is not easily understood, or a popular concept in our times.  Worship informs and invigorates Christians on the Way of Christ.
